In August we were all excited when we got the news that Sangita had been selected to be the winner of 2 awards! First the National Youth Award 2076 (Nepalese Calendar), which is given by the Nepalese Government every year to different organizations. Then she also received the BIA Award (Bodhisattvas in Action). An Award that is once a year to acknowledge and encourage the efforts and dedication of individuals/organization working in the disability sector. This time the award went to Sangita for her steadfast commitment and contribution towards supporting and empowering people with disabilities through her organization. The award was handed over to her by the Vice President of Nepal and also BIA Founder and President Chogyal Rinpoche was present to acknowledge her work.
