Mangali Nagarkoti
Mangali was 45 years old when she joined EPSA Nepal in August 2018. Hailing from Kathmandu in the Bagmati District, she has two brothers and is their only sister. Mangali has faced significant challenges throughout her life due to hearing and speech impairments, which began after a bout of typhoid left her deaf. Unable to continue her schooling, she was informed about EPSA Nepal by a neighbor. Seeking independence from her parents, she joined EPSA to receive training and build a new life for herself. Although her initial goal was to learn handicraft skills, she soon found her strengths in other areas.
Over time, Mangali has become adept at various tasks, proving herself to be a valuable asset to EPSA. She is now highly skilled in cleaning homes, gardens, and offices, as well as managing other maintenance tasks at the EPSA offices. Her dedication and hard work have allowed her to achieve a level of professionalism and competence that she once thought unattainable. Mangali takes great joy in assisting other girls with their needs, offering support and guidance based on her own experiences. She now lives happily, proud of her accomplishments and the independence she has gained.
