News September

Namaste dear friends of EPSA Nepal

It has been a six month since you last heard from us and a lot of good things have happened.

Here in our EPSA home, we are sad to tell you that due to Covid-19 our livelihood activities & our daily work have been interrupted since some customers’ had to cancel their orders, and we had more difficulty to get materials and go to handicraft fairs due to lock down since March 2020.

But also, during Covid –19 so many good things happened here in our Home.

Firstly in April we completed our compound inside of home so that nowadays we are more safe with handrails and security fence along the boundary which stopped the unnecessary people using our land for shortcut.

When the community worked on the water supply pipe, repair the lane  and sewage connection, they helped us to connect the EPSA centre section into the road.

For the whole of June, people from the local community helped us to improve the track to our front gate, building a retaining wall which enabled the road to be made wider. Since we are the last house on the lane, when they cast road slab to reach us, they also made road for their own houses.

Access road and our compound paving work during

Covid-19 lockdown

The completed access road and compound entrance in August

We thank you so much our dear friends and family. You kindness & compassion and kind consideration towards us during these lockdown times. Because of your help we were able to run our centre to manage food and medicine expenses, health hygiene & start face mask production.

Otherwise it would have been very hard to survive, since our livelihood is greatly affected. Lockdown has again resumed but thanks to friends we have some orders for new work. Your support encouraged & saved our lives here. We hope we will again get orders and support all the ladies with difficulties to stay out of poverty. Our prayers for you all for your good health & happiness. Looking forward to welcome you all in our EPSA Home soon.
